New controller
December 29th, 2007I’ve just ordered the Chauvet Stage Designer 24 controller, so expect some new posts soon, and probably a new video on YouTube.
Also, does anyone know anything about the brightness of various Chauvet LED fixtures?

Planning a show for the workplace’s Employee Party.
Right now, I’m thinking I’ll set up a truss, two T-Bars, each with a Chauvet Intimidator 1.0 and 2 Par 28s. I would also plan to floor mount my 750watt strobe and Chauvet Intimidator 2.0. I’ll put the Chauvet Min Spot on the bar, and set up a everything at certain angles. Man, working with limited inventory sucks
On a lighter note, I’m planning on getting a new DMX512 controller… does anyone have any suggestions?
Fresh off the assembly line, just in time for Christmas comes the Chauvet MinSpot and MinWash. I, being ever addicted to gadgets, was immediately impressed by it’s small form factor. The Chauvet Min is not only tiny, it is also rather responsive, and comes with most standard moving head features. While it might not be a Martin MAC2000, it is definitely worth looking at.
In the beginning, there was a website. And in the beginning, it had no real purpose, except as a testing ground for my little scripts and such. But now, I’m finally going to give this website a purpose. From here on, this website, alex10819.org, will be devoted to lighting. Concert/stage/DJ lighting, whatever you might wish to call it, I intend to write about it.
I will be producing videos on a somewhat regular basis. Expect videos of concerts, and demos, as well as the occasional review of a new light or other gadget. Don’t expect a diatribe, a long drawn out emotional tapestry detailing the inner workings of my life. That’s not who I am, that’s not what I’m about.
Readers are welcome and encouraged to comment - I welcome all feedback, be it positive or negative. If you would like a review of a certain new light, I’m willing to help, assuming I can afford the light. In fact, I rather enjoy reviewing new things, so you can expect a few reviews soon. So, ladies and gentlemen, here we are.
